Remaps
For the majority of vehicles on the road today, tuning can take place by reprogramming the original ECU in
place without having to remove the chip. This is accomplished by connecting a "flashing" interface to the
diagnostic port, reading the original data, creating a modified file, and then reprogramming the ECU with the changes.
As these changes are usually stored in tables known as "maps", this process became known as remapping.
Both chipping and remapping carry out the same task, just with different methods of getting the new data into
the ECU. Custom software for DPF removal, Speed limiters and other features can be supplied as part of a remap
package, or on their own.
Specials can include EWS Removal, M series "Sport mode" changes and speed signal error
removal on track based non ABS cars.
A brief sample of what we offer is listed below, but many others are available, both for BMW and other manufacturers.
